Who Else Wants 500 New RSS Subscribers Each Month? Join Our Four-Week Challenge!

I’m up for the Challenge…are you?!? Here’s how it works.

Join our challenge, crediting Steven here, Ponn here, Heather here  and then me here, edit the next 5-6 steps with your personal information, or add your own information and research.

1. Quality Content - This is the absolute most important part of any blog in my opinion.  In order to get readers interested, you have to provide them with what they’re looking for.

Try to add your own personality and style to your post.  Also make sure you spell check.

2. Traffic - Social Networking is really going to help up your traffic and at the same time you can meet other people that are trying to build up their website.  Partnerships are great.
Ponn has started a list of the social networking sites she belongs to.  These are my links.

My nickname is anrob

Stumbleupon - http://anrob.stumbleupon.com/
Del.icio.us - http://del.icio.us/anrob
My Blog Log - http://www.mybloglog.com/buzz/community/moneysponsor/

Sign up with all the sites mentioned above and start socializing in them. Take 1 week to build up your friends and submit quality articles to all of them. You can have a stumbleupon toolbar which makes it easy to stumble articles. You can also use the social bookmark icons on nearly all blog posts; again this makes it easy to submit articles to the sites. At this point do not submit any of your own articles unless you have been using the sites for a while.

It is very important to build up your friends lists and submit articles. Make a point of submitting for an hour every day for 1 week (believe me it well be well worth your time after the week).

As you continue to build up your friend lists on these sites, continue to write your articles and post them as usual and resist the temptation to submit your articles to any of these sites.

What you are doing is building credibility. Can you really do this in 1 week? A little credibility is better than no credibility.

3. Great Headlines - You need to entice your reader to continue reading, the way to do that is with eye catching , interesting headlines.
This is one i really have to work on.  Ponn list some very helpful links here

4. Enlist Friends - Again through social networking.  You have started to make friends, so help your friends out and visit their pages.  Make goods comments and help out the community.  Your friends will do the same.  a digg here, a stumble there.

5. SEO - Search Engine Optimization - Try to use at least 7 - 15 keywords in your post.  I use Wordtracker to research keywords

6. Subscribe to My RSS Feed

Have fun and Good luck.

  1. Hi Anrob!

So glad you decided “Play”, it has been quite the ride thusfar.

FYI, I’m members of other social networking/bookmarking sites, but to achieve 500 new RSS subscribers in one-month’s time, Steven succeeded with the above 6 sites, based on recommendations of his colleagues.

Thanks for the link-love, and joining all my networks; as you know I returned our “friend”ship everywhere I could.

As for #6 my favorite keyword search tools are:
    a. http://tools.seobook.com/general/keyword/ (has WordTracker, Overture and Much More!)
    b. http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/suggestion/ (has WordTracker and Overture)

Give these 2 a whirl and let me know what you think…I assume you’ll like both Much better ;-)

BTW, I like your personal commentary, great tips!

Oh…and our challenge as well :-D

  2. Hi Larry,

Sorry it’s so late in the day to get to you. Thanks for joining the challenge. Networking and helping one another we will certainly see some great results in June.

I’ll keep checking back so to add anyone who becomes part of your challenge.

Thanks you for the link to my post. (It may need to be updated due to some technical problems on my end)

Have a great weekend, and keep in touch.
